My Journey through AMPS

 My Journey through AMPS

by Maryem Al Delaimi, Jun 7th, 2022

School is where you grow up and maybe the most time in your life in which you experience the most changes. As you grow up you are able to discover yourself and find out your preferences. That's why each year is unique in its own way. My journey AMPS carries so many memories for me. Those experiences have made me a more mature person than I was before and I am thankful for them.

Time passes by so quickly. Looking back, my high school was like a movie, with a lot of events. In these quick years, so much has changed and yet so much has remained exactly the same. I still go to school with some of the same people that I know for long years. I walk into the same familiar building and greet most of the same teachers. During these several years I have lost some friends, but I have gained real ones, which is one of the most important things to me. I've matured to be a more open and empathetic person, and I've learnt a lot of important life lessons. I've made a lot of special memories and learnt to appreciate what I have because everything is temporary.

Even though I am still the same person as the one who went through those school hallways as a freshman. In many ways, I have developed in an effort to become the best version of myself and reach my final goal. I've also learned to be more confident and trust in my own abilities and decisions. These past few years I have noticed a positive shift in my attitude towards education and its importance. I learnt to take responsibility for myself and my actions, in which I started taking school more seriously, and spend greater effort into my grades and education.

Maybe I still don’t know where I'm going. However, I am considering a career as a fashion designer. I've always enjoyed drawing and wanted to be a fashion designer ever since I was a child. I liked making copies of cartoons and stickers. In addition, since drawing is my hobby something that is related to art would eventually be easier and more suitable for me than different choices.

I enjoy sketching as a
 hobby in my free time.

Next year I am going to be a senior, I hope to achieve sufficient grades that give me the chance to determine my future. Additionally, I am looking forward to having a memorable final year and making unforgettable memories. I want to stay in touch with my friends and not be separated by distance.
